Simple habits that help you date safely online and in person.

Never send money

Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, banking details or investment funds to someone you met through a dating service. A genuine connection should not require financial rescue.

Keep control of your accounts

Never share your password, verification code, banking PIN or identity documents in a chat.

Meet safely

• Meet in a busy public place.
• Tell a trusted friend where you are going.
• Use your own transportation when possible.
• Keep your phone charged and maintain a way to leave.

Use Block and Report

If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them. If you see harassment, fraud, threats or suspicious behavior, use Report so the moderation team can review it.

Move off-site carefully

Be cautious when someone immediately pushes you to WhatsApp, Telegram, investment sites or other external services. Never click suspicious links or download unknown files.
